During the middle of last week I wrote about a nice $10,000+ Ferrari watch that Panerai assisted in making. So, I decided to continue in this vein and talk about a watch that’s pure Panerai and Panerai replica watches. The Luminor Submersible 1950 is the watch I’m focusing on today. I decided to focus on this particular model (picture above and below) because I feel the materials used gives the watch a more contemporary look, which provides an interesting clash with Panerai’s typical 1950′s structural design.
The features of this timepiece are an automatic movement with a 3 day power reserve, a water resistance of 300 meters, and an anti-clockwise unidirectional rotating bezel with graduated scale for calculating the time of immersion and ratchet click at minute intervals. The 47mm case is made of brushed titanium, and the strap is made of Panerai personalized rubber.
